Siamese Algae Eater

The Siamese Algae Eater (Crossocheilus oblongus), is a species of algae-eating bottom feeder closely related to carp. They have long, light-coloured bodies with a bold distinct black horizontal stripe.

Water Temperature: 75F - 80F

Ideal pH: 6.5-7.0

Water Hardness: 5 - 25 dGH

Temperament: Peaceful, yet energetic shoaling species. Will eat algae, though their diet should be supplemented with high-quality sinking pellets and wafers.
