Pea Pufferfish
The Pea Pufferfish (Carinotetraodon travancoricus), also called the Dwarf Pufferfish, is a tiny freshwater fish species native to India.
Minimum Tank Size: 5 Gallons (for 1, add 3 Gallons for every additional pufferfish)
Maximum Fish Size: 1 inches
Water Temperature: 73F to 82F
Ideal pH: 7.0 - 8.0
Water Hardness: 4 - 10 dGH
Temperament: Semi-Aggressive Carnivores. Needs a diet consisting of either live or frozen prey, such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, or snails. May be kept in small schools, provided their aquarium is crowded enough. May nip long fins; generally kept as species-only.
Unless experienced with fish-in cycling, we always suggest cycling an aquarium BEFORE adding fish. Adding fish to a fresh, un-cycled aquarium can kill them rapidly. We offer free water testing at our physical location, and advice via email or call.
