Juvenile Corn Snake
The Corn Snake (Pantherophis guttatus) is a small species of snake native to North America. Their wide variety of colour morphs make them a popular choice for novice and experienced reptile keepers alike.
Fully-Grown Size: 48”-72” (varies based on sex)
Lifespan: 15-20 years
Housing: 10 gallons for hatchlings, up to 40 gallons for adults.
Temperature: A warm terrarium half (85F) and a cool terrarium half (75F) should be provided. An under-tank heater may be used to provide adequate heat.
Humidity: 40%-50%. A water dish large enough for the entire snake to soak in should be provided.
Temperament: Corn snakes are active, and generally very easy to handle.
Feeding: A fully-grown Corn Snake will eat approximately one adult mouse a week. They have a strong feeding response and will rarely reject a meal.
