Betta Fish - Female
Type
The Betta Fish (Betta splendens) is a colourful semi-aggressive tropical fish native to Southeast Asia. Betta fish are a popular choice for novice and experienced keepers alike due to their hardy nature, ease of case, and stunning colours.
Minimum Tank Size: 2.5 Gallons
Maximum Fish Size: 3 inches
Water Temperature: 75F to 82F
Idea pH: 6.5 - 8.0
Water Hardness: 5 - 20 dGH
Temperament: Semi-aggressive. Aggressive towards other betta fish. Can keep in some community set-ups.
Unless experienced with fish-in cycling, we always suggest cycling an aquarium BEFORE adding fish. Adding fish to a fresh, un-cycled aquarium can kill them rapidly. We offer free water testing at our physical location, and advice via email or call.
