Bearded Dragon - Assorted Fancy (Baby)

The Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps) is a medium-sized species of lizard native to Australia. Their laid-back and personable nature makes them extremely popular family pets.

Max Size: ~15" from nose to tail tip.

Terrarium Size: 40 gallons is suitable for juveniles, adults will require a 4'x4'x2' enclosure.

Heating and Lighting: Ambient temperatures should not drop below 75 degrees Fahrenheit. A basking spot of 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit should be provided during daytime hours. UVB lighting during daytime hours is also mandatory. 

Diet: Baby and juvenile bearded dragons should eat primarily insects (crickets, roaches, soldier fly larvae), and adult bearded dragons should eat primarily vegetables (collard greens, arugula, dandelion, bok choy, pea shoots). Beardies should be fed daily, with juveniles eating a ratio of 80% insect to 20% plant matter, and adults eating a ratio of 80% plant matter and 20% insects. Fruit such as berries may be given very sparingly as a treat.
