Trachycephalus resinifictrix is a large, bold species of tree frog native to the Amazon Rainforest.
Lifespan: 5-10 years
Max Size: ~4", with females getting larger than males.
Terrarium Size: 29 Gallons for a group of 4 frogs is recommended. Terrarium should be taller than it is wide. These frogs can live in mixed-sex groups peacefully.
Humidity and Water: Ambient humidity should stay between 60% and 100% at all times. All water entering the frog's vivarium MUST be dechlorinated or distilled. A shallow water dish should be provided, and cleaned daily.
Heating and Lighting: Ambient temperatures should stay between 70–80 degrees Fahrenheit, and should not drop below 62 degrees Fahrenheit at night. UVB is not essential for this species.
Diet: Insectivores. Should be fed a variety of invertebrates, such as crickets, discoid roaches, waxworms, hornworms, silkworms, and earthworms.
